Lichen Sclerosus

Lichen Sclerosus is a condition that creates patchy, white skin that’s thinner than normal. Lichen sclerosus can affect skin anywhere on your body, but it mostly involves the skin of the vulva or skin around the anus.

Lichen sclerosus is not contagious and cannot spread through sexual intercourse.

Symptoms may include:

  • Itching (pruritus), which can be severe
  • Discomfort or pain
  • Smooth white spots on your skin
  • Blotchy, wrinkled patches
  • Easy bruising or tearing
  • Painful intercourse.

At Kennesaw Gynecology we have had great success treating lichen sclerosus with the O-shot. Read more about how the O-shot treats Lichen Sclerosus. We also offer the Goldstein Method.
